WHO ARE WE? WHY JOIN US?
Our mission is to help people live healthier and fitter lifestyles. We try to do that every day by not only our exercises, but building a supportive community and with our own lifestyles.
Humans are quickly becoming used to less activity. Especially functional activity that helps you in your everyday situations. Riding a bike, playing sports, or even playing with your kids quickly gets replaced by a computer screen or watching TV spread out on the couch when at home. Especially when you feel your body cannot keep up with the daily demands.
We want to help you get back into action and be fit, healthy and capable at an older age.
What is CrossFit?
Crossfit is based on Functional Movements (like squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling) that have been there forever and is being used every day in you daily activities. In spite of all modern technology and machines these movements have survived the test of time for one reason only – they get results.
In our CrossFit classes, we combine gymnastics, weightlifting and metabolic conditioning in workouts that are Constantly Varied(never the same) and performed at High Intensity. These movements get scaled according to your ability, age and fitness level so is doable by everyone.
WHAT WE OFFER?
Crossfit Winelands offers a professional, safe and community driven environment were we train the 3 principles of Crossfit: Constantly Varied, Functional Movements, preformed at High Intensity. This in turn will improve overall Health, Fitness and wellbeing.
We envision and encourage a community that is healthy and happy, whose participants have the courage to live outside the generally accepted belief that health, fitness and vitality must decline with age. A community that provides support for everyone that is willing to put in the work and effort to better themselves.
Your fitness journey isn’t always about you…..inspiring others along the way is just as important!!
GET OUT OF YOUR
“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean and jerk, and snatch. Similarly master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climbs, push ups, sit ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row etc., hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.”
